Introducing Gabe (And a character design blurb)
Added 2024-09-19 16:11:47 +0000 UTCWhen I'm designing new characters, I sometimes make a page to flesh them out. The page is just a reference for me to plan illustrations. I don't really post them because they don't always look good haha.
But this vis dev page for Gabe looked cool so I wanna post it!
These pages usually comprise a portrait and a figure, so I can shorthand how I construct their body. Sometimes I even include fx layers (multiply/add/overlay etc) to see how the character's flat colors look with that stuff on. It's good to keep track of contrast and color interactions!
For this page I wanted to test how a streamer interface would look. I'm still figuring that part out.
I've been looking for a name for his hairstyle. I envisioned a "curly mullet" , but I think it's called a "jellyfish cut" Or maybe it's closer to a "wolf cut" ? Who knows?
Here's the idea that won the poll, so I'm going to start working on it!
a) Danielle (dick) encourages her bratty, E-boy (pussy) client to finally hit his reps for dumbbell rows... She's trying to be nice, but this silly twink is more interested in taking selfies. If attention is his motivation, she can work with that.
