Just for context tho... In this context, Carmin usually visits nearby villages using his shape-shifting and ends up offering himself to those who are easiest to attract. Let's say... a more subtle way of attracting victims who will never be seen again. But it seems this can sometimes end up getting out of her control when her prey can provide enough pleasure, and kind of skill issue for not fitting well in her human form
