September hated herself. She had let her guards down a bit and the monster they were hunting had successfully been able to get behind her to sneak on her. He pulled her out of there. The witch was safe. But by the time the Minotaur had successfully pulled her to the side, the ghoul was already gone with the elvish ranger. They were both gone. The monster knew this mountainous region so much better than any of the other ones who tried hunting him. There was no way to go around it and to stop the ghoul from taking April with him. Junk and September would have to regroup and focus on finding her with a plan to get her back. She was already gone. There was nothing that could be done about it now.

“She’s gone…” Junk said to himself, as his precious April had been abducted again. It was clearly not the first time it happened and going by the logic, it was probably not the last time it was going to happen either, but this didn’t change the fact that it was immensely painful to him every time she was taking away from him. Junk crashed down to his knees as he realized that she was already gone and that he had failed her.

“She swapped places with me to save me…” September said.
