I promised you some photos last month about my trip to Bali, so here you go.
I went to Bali on June 22-26 as a business trip with my game dev team, hoping to get some references and ideas from Bali's culture. Most of the photos we took are research material (we rarely took selfies xD) so I can only show you some of the highlight of the places we visited.
First Day
We were going to watch a Barong dance. We passed by an interesting monument on the way there so we stopped for a few minutes to take some picture. It's Bali Center of Culture.

And then we watched Barong Dance at Batubulan.

The way Barong move and act was so interesting. It's cute and freaky at the same time. You should watch it sometimes (you can find it on youtube btw).
After that, we went to Pura Besakih. It's the oldest and the Largest temple in Bali. The shape is like a large complex of temples.

We were only allowed to walk around it so we didn't disturb the one who were currently praying.
Next stop, we visited a traditional Balinese house complex in Ubud. It's a real house with people living in it, not a tourist place, so I can't show you the pictures.
On the evening we went to a very nice restaurant--Nusantara. It's a nice small place with veeeeery good service. When we went there, it's time for me to do Magrib (sunset) pray. I know it'll be hard to find a place to do that in Bali because of Muslim minority. So I didn't have my hope when I ask a place to pray to the waiter. But you know what? they let me use the room upstairs which looks like a vip restaurant room. The foods there are extraordinary. We got a plate full of snacks from different places in Indonesia as an appetizer (for free?). The waiter even describe the snacks origin to us. They also described the ingredients of baked duck we ordered while showing the duck that still in a clay cocoon. Ah now I wish I took some of the food photos (I'm not used to do ig food photos). So let me just show you our happy faces xD.

Second Day
Our next destination is Pura Taman Ayun. This place is a compound of temples and garden with water canals. We heard that all the water they use for rice field are came from this place.

Next we went to Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. It's a small temple on a lake. The weather was so foggy we couldn't see the lake's edge. It got worse when we ride a speed boat. We couldn't see what's in front of us. What a thrilling experience.

On the afternoon we visited the famous Tanah Lot. You need to take a holy water to be allowed to go around it but it was already too dark when we got there so we didn't get to enter further. It was hard enough to cross the water to reach the island. The water current is quite strong I almost got washed away xD.

Third Day
Our first destination was Monumen Puputan. The monument is a tower-like building. It's a historical monument as a symbol for a battle between Bali against colonial. There is a museum inside this monument.

We found some well composed history dioramas upstairs. I wish could stay longer to look at all the details of these dioramas. We heard that we can have a sky view of Bali from the top of the monument but we didn't get to see that because of tight schedule.
Our last destination is watching Uluwatu Kecak Fire Dance with a sunset. It's by the edge of a beautiful cliff and sea.

Oh hi, Nobita xD

The dance was so beautiful. I was totally captivated by the performance of Rama, Shita and Hanoman.
That's about my trip to Bali. I hope you enjoyed my not-detailed-trip-log xD
