2023-01-24 01:38:41 +0000 UTCI tend to throw all my laundry together, sometimes even sheets in with clothes, but if I have a large load of whites I do them separate and give them a good dose of bleach. That and I have two black cats and a dog who is tan and black so whites tend to need to be separated.

Obviously, it's not going to be for everyone, and clear, honest communication is critical. Back when this show was made, however, it was very rare to hear of it. Not that those relationships didn't exist, but people didn't talk as openly about it as they do now. So it could be made into a joke or something shocking. I appreciate that this show didn't make it a complete joke, outside of the initial reaction of Chandler's friends, didn't make her out to be a bad person, and didn't have her "change her mind" about how she wants to live her life. She communicated openly and honestly with Chandler from the very start that she had other relationships; she didn't try to deceive him.

2023-01-12 22:43:21 +0000 UTCThank you! Because I, too, throw everything together in the washer and have never once had a problem with colors bleeding or the whites getting streaked. The only separation I do is balancing, like towels & pants together, then "delicates" separate, because otherwise my weirdo washing machine has a tendency to go out of balance if the weight isn't distributed somewhat evenly. So I separate by approximate size of the item. Never once had a problem. But I hate doing laundry, tbh, so I can't even imagine the tedium of separating whites and colors while also considering proper weight distribution in the machine. :p I've never told anyone IRL about this, because I feel like I'm committing some terrible laundry transgression and will get shocked reactions, so thank you for speaking up, LOL!
