December Poll (Read description)
Added 2024-12-17 01:20:44 +0000 UTCWe're doing something a little different with this one. Over January we're thinking of doing some longer and more experimental videos. This means there might be fewer uploads but don't worry, you'll still get your weekly early political video on Patreon.
Leading up to this we're putting more options than usual on the poll. The big difference is we're letting you vote on multiple options, not just your favourite one. If anything grabs your interest be sure to give it a vote, we'll definitely make the winning result but we'll be looking through all the top results to help inform what we make soon.
Get voting,
The FJ Crew

2024-12-20 01:21:58 +0000 UTCRevisiting the political spending bill by discussing with Michael West. In general, I am very skeptical of any political spending bill that is supported by the liberals and pushed through in a guillotine

2024-12-19 12:33:57 +0000 UTCAustralia can apply sanctions, stop delivering weapons parts, and providing intelligence support e.g. via US run military bases like pine gap on our soil. Though breaking with the US is a stretch for our current govt

2024-12-18 20:09:30 +0000 UTCLabor hasn't supported Israel's action since they stopped aid going into Gaza. Israel is a Nuclear power no one wants to invade them and that's the only solution here. We don't do much with Israel to hold anything over them. Labor has condemned their actions and supports Palestine becoming a State as part of a two state solution. Israel ignored the USA, so much so Biden had to slow walk sending any military aid as a bargaining tool. Australia has no power to stop Israel besides invading.

2024-12-18 00:51:22 +0000 UTCTrains this, employee horror stories that. We've been witnessing a genocide for over a year by a government that a) killed 7 aid workers in one day and then b) attacked UN peace-keepers and which is c) supported by THIS LABOR GOVERNMENT!

2024-12-17 11:06:44 +0000 UTCDug up some sources I've been keeping track of. Some are archive.is links to bypass paywalls. - LNP's Olympics bill repeals Path to Treaty and a bunch of worker protections regarding the right of a WHS officer to enter hazardous workplaces: https://archive.is/FE6Yy - Also for good (?) measure, those are the second lot of worker protections that the LNP have axed since coming to office. They scrapped BPIC almost immediately after winning: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-11-14/best-practice-industry-conditions-bpic-explained-union-workers/104601464 - Crisafulli bans debate on abortion for 4 years: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/dec/10/queensland-parliament-passes-unprecedented-gag-on-abortion-debate - LNP donors reviewing Olympics infrastructure: https://archive.is/8FJvr - LNP handpicked OIympics review team: https://archive.is/CAH9U - LNP's "independent" Productivity Commission requires approval from the Treasurer: https://archive.is/z4Ceg - LNP crime laws mean children as young as 10 to face mandatory life sentences for murder: https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2024/nov/28/queensland-youth-crime-laws-david-crisafulli-lnp-changes-children-life-sentences-murder - (Bonus article) the LNP's environment minister still doesn't think anthropogenic climate change is real: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2024/dec/11/queensland-environment-minister-andrew-powell-stands-by-scepticism-about-human-induced-climate-change

2024-12-17 07:00:44 +0000 UTCBeen obsessively following it. Courier Mail and the Brisbane Times are usually best. CM still report on the LNP's misgivings, they just hide it at the bottom of articles that spend most of the time bagging Labor.

2024-12-17 04:33:54 +0000 UTCQueensland update would be good. So much dodgy shit has happened in just the first month of an LNP government. Where to begin! Axing a bunch of workers protections and the truth-telling inquiry (our last chance to hear firsthand stories from survivors of the Stolen Generation btw) in an OLYMPICS bill (i.e. they just fucken hid it) Crisafulli has banned any and all debate around abortion and the Termination of Pregnancy Act 2018 - for the entire term of Parliament 2 of the 7 members of the hand-picked Olympics review panel are LNP donors (for a total of $100k) They've rehashed the Newman era "Productivity Commission" and the Treasurer more or less has direct control over it (despite talk of its 'independence') They have passed laws enabling children as young as 10 to be tried as adults for crime, with mandatory minimum sentencing - and did not ask for or receive any advice from the Queensland Police Service about the law. Further to that point the LNP-led committee actually censored questioning about the lack of QPS presence. As per usual the press is refusing to report on this properly, and there's really no one else in the country with a sizeable audience who is likely to cover it in-depth.

2024-12-17 04:19:00 +0000 UTCI'll just say that Dutton's obvious distraction work with the nuclear option is working brilliantly. Even the people who know it is a distraction are wasting all their time pointing that out.

2024-12-17 03:23:36 +0000 UTCAlso, I have a feeling that the Peter Dutton Nuclear video will win, but if so can we also do more shitting on Dutton and not just his stupid nuclear plan and include jokes about him

2024-12-17 01:56:33 +0000 UTCThe VIC libs option is lagging but it would be good to see some more coverage of Victorian stuff, just so I, personally, can say "oooh Victoria! That's where I live!"

2024-12-17 01:37:04 +0000 UTCCan we get a video before the next election starts about why the "albos rating in the polls" is down and lower than Dutton Touch on why the msm is planting that idea and why no one, including politicians should pay any attention to them.
