//Friday// I continue to play GTA 5 for the first time as I listen to this podcast. I am now at the end of the story, and I mostly sleep, wake up, put some money in the stock market, get slightly annoyed when the stock is still in the red, immediately go to sleep, wake up, and sell my stock as soon as its even slightly in the green. It doesn't mean anything to me. But I still get irritated when it doesn't go my way. When I have an enormous amount, I will abandon the project. I have about 50-60 million dollars right now. I will continue to do this, absent-mindedly, until I can buy all property you can buy. Then I will continue for a bit more, so the number gets higher, and the pointlessness of doing it gear-shifts from an intellectual conclusion about how I know this will end, to something I can feel in my whole body, in the here and now. And then, at some point a bit later, I will stop playing, and uninstall the game. It must be this way. Any metaphorical allusion to current goings-on are coincidental.

During year 10 at high school we spent 6 months studying WW2 with a focus on the nazis and the holocaust. One of the main lessons was:“never repeat the atrocities of the past” and “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”. Was I lied to? Was I naive? Why are the contradictions so obvious and back by world governments? 60 women have been murdered in Australia in the last year. We have government sponsored advertisements against violence against women and children. THAT SAME GOVERNMENT IS SENDING WEAPONS AND AID TO ISREAL.
