First, if teachers and nurses are indeed in the PMC, they are on the very bottom. I also never said what you attributed to me. Of course there are reactionary elements in both groups- name a group in society at this point that doesn't. Divide and conquer has worked beautifully, and I was disappointed to hear you engaging in it. I have seen more reactionary politics on the left since 2016 than I thought I would see in a lifetime, but that is probably due to my naivete.

Nurse here. Tom’s not wrong, lots of nurses, social workers etc. do resent people with lower incomes getting “free stuff” because “I work my ass off, why shouldn’t they?” Such jobs pay a living wage but they’re not paid what the work is worth. Hence resentment about the check.

Tom said nurses and teachers would be the first to turn reactionary regarding the 50-70 thousand dollar cutoff and use their education as a weapon against the rest of the working class. Trash comment and inexplicably anti teachers and nurses, who are working class by definition.

The journey of the scholar stone in "Parasite" is one of the keys to the movie. I think it's something like "nature out of balance", being restored, at the end. There was a similar kind of critique in "Snowpiercer" where a human caused environmental catastrophe is a big part of the story. e.g. the kind of damage that capitalism does to the natural environment is reflected in human relations.
Btw, on the polling issue, people overwhelmingly favor things like the $2,000 check. The fact that the Dems are avoiding doing popular things, tells you about who the elected leadership actually serves. There are people who oppose the checks, but they tend to reflect a wealthy minority, which is overwhelmingly represented in Congress.
