I want to add something about the scene where Even returns the hat. It’s such a brief moment, but it’s really packed with meaning. It highlights that Isak is trying to put a wall up between his friends and whatever this thing with Even is. Even picks up on that from the look of abject terror in Isak’s eyes, and covers for him by lying and saying that he left the hat in the cafeteria, so once again we see Even being sensitive to Isak’s discomfort and trying to ease the situation, though I wonder why he chose to return the hat in front of Isak’s friends in the first place. Also, in the scripts for this episode, when Even says Isak left the hat in the cafeteria, there is a stage direction for Jonas’ actor that says he remembers Isak was wearing the hat at the end of the day. It’s subtle, but you can see from his reactions that Jonas is picking up on the fact that something is going on with Isak. I never cared much for Jonas before, but seeing another side of him this season, I began to really like him. ✨

This episode is really good at showing what's going on in Isak's head, and I have to say it's pretty relatable, I even remember going on that exact same "Gay Test" website when I was younger (unsurprisingly it's not very accurate). Even though she isn't very good at taking hints especially early on, I do really feel for Emma cause she clearly likes him and Isak is definitely leading her on, although I'd argue not intentionally as he's still very confused and seems to be just "trying things out" so to speak. I've heard plenty of people say that this show has really helped them by showing their experiences and that they're not alone in feeling the way they do (myself included), which is probably because Julie Andem (the creator of Skam) did a lot of research and talked to actual teens who were going through these things to make it as accurate as possible. I'm glad you're really enjoying this show still and don't worry, although I obviously don't speak for everyone, being bi myself I've never felt you were disrespectful or offensive in any way, you come across as a very kind, empathetic person! 😊 Looking forward to the rest of the season!
