POLL: June Fan Favorites
Added 2024-06-07 15:18:04 +0000 UTCIt's that time again, y'all. About twice a year, I take several songs from our Master List that have been waiting patiently for me to hear. And, I need your help to pick the ones that will make it into this month's 'Songs from the Master List - Volume V'.
Your Task: Pick up to FIVE of your preferred favorites.
This poll will run through June 19, and the Fan Favorites video will be posted in the last week of the month.
Happy Voting!

2024-06-20 00:27:57 +0000 UTCI don't believe Doug has listened to any Kraftwerk on the channel. If he enjoys Computer Love then maybe he'd be open to listening to Trans Europe Express in the future.

2024-06-17 18:22:34 +0000 UTCTotally off-topic now - Craig Ferguson has a great podcast now called “Joy;” do check it out if you haven’t already. One of his guests was Josh Robert Thompson, who did the voice of Geoff Peterson, the robot skeleton! This is by far my favorite clip: https://youtu.be/8g4vP8wgTDI?feature=shared We got to see CF do a standup show in Houston last year, and he was so great!!

2024-06-16 17:28:52 +0000 UTCThat was Craig Ferguson. He had a late night show on CBS network for many years. He did all kinds of craziness. He's from Scotland. I really liked him.

2024-06-15 11:14:55 +0000 UTCHas Kraftwerk “Trans Europe Express“ been done before? It’s a lot better than “Computer Love”

2024-06-15 08:07:31 +0000 UTCMy vote is on Alan PP, but I’d preferred if it was “The Turn of a Friendly Card (the medley)” instead. I’m not complaining 😁

2024-06-15 08:03:34 +0000 UTCI watched your Kraftwerk humour Greg. Very funny! Who is this guy, never seen him before 😂😁

2024-06-15 07:57:34 +0000 UTCDoesn’t look like it’s going to go through unfortunately. It would make a great Masterpiece Friday since it’s 23 minutes.

2024-06-14 10:26:45 +0000 UTCArthur Brown needs a Doug reaction, hopefully he stays in the rotation.

2024-06-13 17:46:31 +0000 UTCHad a quick listen and voting for: BBT - no brainer Camel FFDP - much better than I thought it might be Umphreys - good stuff Wobbler - also good, I think its a bit GentleGiant-ish ( I'm not sure I'm ready for 23 minutes of the Dead )

2024-06-08 09:22:20 +0000 UTCIf you’re into Scandinavian Symphonic prog with lots of mellotron you will like them.

2024-06-07 18:58:33 +0000 UTCIf Kraftwerk it should have been Trans-Europe Express
Karl Stubsjoen
2024-06-07 18:51:58 +0000 UTCAlan Parsons is my obvious choice on this one
Karl Stubsjoen
2024-06-07 18:50:55 +0000 UTCNever heard of them, but I gave it a vote on your recommendation.

2024-06-07 18:41:39 +0000 UTCKraftwerk! It's time for Doug to listen to some kraut, not just smoke it
Mikael Forsström
2024-06-07 17:37:47 +0000 UTCWobbler :) I thought of requesting them, but figured they were too unknown to get votes. Maybe there's a chance, let's go!
Mats Lange
2024-06-07 17:30:38 +0000 UTCPam, I also only know three. But I know of the other two groups I chose and like the pieces I have heard by them.

2024-06-07 16:59:51 +0000 UTCYayy!! If you get the chance to see his current show, don't miss it! We put him on as the last night headliner and everyone was awestruck who hadn't seen it before (and those who had too, to be fair!).
Trevor Cotterell
2024-06-07 16:40:25 +0000 UTCGoing strong, as bright and sharp as a pin. June is his birth month too - so come on guys, make his 82nd one to remember!!
Trevor Cotterell
2024-06-07 16:38:34 +0000 UTCMakes sense...live, but readily available. (I think it's a good one...but I am not a major Deadhead who can argue over every last concert!)
Jeff Norman
2024-06-07 16:38:10 +0000 UTCHere's the version that I would do if it gets included...it's the version that was submitted originally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhL03mLfu2I
R. Douglas Helvering
2024-06-07 16:35:28 +0000 UTCI only know 3. 😔
Pam Norris
2024-06-07 16:31:22 +0000 UTCThe bass/guitar start of the FFDP song sounds a lot like an Arjen song, then it gets to the harsh vocals, which rules it out for me.
Mark L
2024-06-07 16:22:46 +0000 UTCditto on this. only this and another I'm voting for.
Matthew Hackbert
2024-06-07 16:20:07 +0000 UTCIf "Dark Star" wins, the big question is...which version? There is a studio version...but it's almost like a demo. Worth hearing, to compare where the song went in its career...but I think most people voting for the song want to hear one of the extended live versions. The Dead are a huge can of worms...WHICH version is very important to Dead fans (and it's almost never— except maybe w/'American Beauty' or 'Workingman's Dead' songs— the studio versions...).
Jeff Norman
2024-06-07 15:47:55 +0000 UTCPlease someone vote for FFDP!!
KellieE69
2024-06-07 15:47:13 +0000 UTCBonnie Raitt’s Grammy-winning Song of the Year deserves a listen!!

2024-06-07 15:42:46 +0000 UTCI seriously hope Fire by Arthur Brown is the full suite, and not just the radio single.
Illume Eltanin
2024-06-07 15:41:19 +0000 UTCStill going strong as well!
Chris Gadsby
2024-06-07 15:40:35 +0000 UTCI only know two of these . Alan Parsons and Nine Inch Nails. I love them both but for sake of your reactions, of the two I voted for, I am hoping for Head Like A Hole!
Duff
2024-06-07 15:31:33 +0000 UTCSurely it has to be The God Of Hell Fire.... please...!
