Done during commission warmups over the past couple of weeks. Concepts of the Nilphir hive I've been working on! Please note that this is only concept art, so everything here is still subject to change! Though the hive shape might be final ;> IF the hive is final, it'll be uploaded publicly as well, but the other concept art is all exclusive~

Hives of this species are also called "Ravenous Crowns" by the surviving inhabitants of the moon Akutosis (home base of Okuri. Akutosis is one of a series of habitable moons around the gas giant Elyssal and is mostly used as a military outpost as well as overseeing some small settlements of scientific researchers.)

Nilphir are a type of fungus that thrives in caves. While originally harmless (though some people have reported to get some sort of hayfever from it's spores, humorously dubbed 'cave fever') it started rapidly mutating after a ship of unknown origin crashed into the surface. The Nilphir mushroom gained primal needs, then pure lust, and lastly, terrifying sentience. It started corrupting local flora and fauna first, growing large hives at the core of their corruption. Now threatening the population of Akutosis, it hungers to spread even further...
