Copenhagen would have to be one of my favourite cities that I've ever visited and it might well just be because I don't think an unattractive Danish person exists. They also have a great sense of design and a beautiful attitude towards nudity. It is also the only foreign city that I've city outside Australia I've done a proper photo shoot.
In 2017 I had plans to do a photo shoot in Cologne, Germany but we just couldn't make the timing work. Then again in 2019 I had one night's layover in Frankfurt Germany and had another model lined up but that too fell through. I know there are other photographers that organise international work trips and I would love to do it.
Ever since I saw photos that I believe Hudson Wright took of two beautiful nude men in the Seychelles I've dreamt of putting stunning men in gorgeous locations around the world for photographs. I've also dreamt of visiting the Seychelles ever since.
There would be an incredible amount of pressure and stress involved having a short window of time to do the shoots wherever you visited, hoping the weather was going to work in your favour and the location looks the way you anticipate. So many variables.
My boss looked at my OUTSIDE THE STUDIO book recently and commented just how very Australian it felt, and he's right. It is distinctly Aussie. Would my work translate to different locations? I'd love to try.
