Hey wonderful people!

It’s now been a couple months since I officially launched my Patreon page and it has been life changing to say the least. I never created this much art in such a short time!

With your support you are not just subscribing to my exclusive content on Patreon, it’s bigger than that, you are actually enabling me to do art and empowering me in my mission to uplift and represent Black Women in the positive light they deserve! You are literally helping to impact the lives of others in a positive way. All the positive feedback on social media from Black Women saying that the representation means something to them is directed at you too. Because without your support I wouldn’t be able to do what I do. 

This is a movement and you are fueling it!

Some of you might know that I quit my well-paid corporate 9-5 job in December to try and be a full-time artist as I feel that this is my purpose, my calling.

Animations, comics and illustrations are very time intensive I wouldn’t be able to create if I still worked 40 hours in a corporate job every week. I currently spend around 60 hours doing art.

And for those who are following my journey for some time, you might remember that I was hardly producing art over the last years. I created more art and content since December than in the previous 4 years combined.

That’s why I’m so incredibly grateful to you because with your support I can unapologetically create, uplift, inspire, entertain and stimulate Black Women and WOC.

Currently I am not able to live from Patreon (yet), I have around 300 subscribers and I would need another 50-100 to pay all my bills, rent and living expenses are insane in NY. I’m still living off my savings and I have a couple more months before I’m running out! My goal is to reach 350-400 subscribers by then because I really don’t want to go back! Even though I earned more than double compared to what I do now.

Money is not everything. I feel that I have a responsibility and I need to follow my heart ❤️🙏🏼

That’s why I can’t thank you all enough I am forever grateful you are changing my life and impacting others!

So as a thank you I decided to now offer free SketchMe portraits for those who would like a sketch of themselves. I will start with one per week and see how it goes (need to make sure I’m not burning out), but that’s the least I can do for you. (note: these will be sketches and not full blown high end portraits)

Quick update on my mangas:

I finished the script for Nia 14 and will start line work next.

I need a few more extra days for Kayla part two, as always I ended up putting more effort in as initially planned. I want it to be like a movie with depth and more plot details. I hope the free SketchMes make up for the slight delay ❤️😊
