2025-11-03 21:01:45 +0000 UTCThe opposition to AI isn't opposed to it being used in meaningful and positive ways. The opposition is towards it being used as a source of information (at this time, where it is often inaccurate but treated as accurate), writing for people (which could negatively impact peoples literacy and ability to write as well as their creative skills), it's ability to be manipulated by it's creators (see Grok being "tweaked" by Elon), it stealing the art, music, etc. produced by people, and lastly it taking jobs from people without having a meaningful replacement or safety net. Under the current outlook of capitalism in America, the future with AI looks awfully grim. People are worried and upset about it ramping up and being pushed faster than we can reflect and address the ethical and material concerns around it. Plus, there is the whole energy waste factor of it too, which without nuclear energy being where it should be (something Elon has now been actively sabotaging) it's pretty bad.

Iβm just not into electric mainly because the percentage of the batteries that are recyclable and the costs of the battery replacements youβll eventually have to get. :/ I used to be all into Teslas
