I probably am not going to read the books but I find that I am seeing little spoilers on Twitter anyway, though I don’t have full context so don’t fully understand. People can choose to watch your book reviews or not, so full steam ahead! And…I’m very much looking forward to the final two eps.

2026-02-15 03:24:34 +0000 UTCAs someone who has not read the books yet, I decided to read from the first book through book 4 and stop before reading The Long Game. I think that’s the one that S2 is gonna be based on and I really want to go into the next season as blind as I can be. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are some characters that pop up like how Scott and Kip did this season (I’m thinking Ryan Price since they talked about him in this episode, but we’ll have to wait and see). As for this episode, I think that everything at Ilya’s house freaked Shane out and the first name drops were kind of the big “oh shit” moment. I mean when they first had full on sex in ep 2, Shane was full on heart-eyes and you could see that Ilya pulled away, not just leaving at that moment, but then also ghosting Shane for six months and then kind of establishing a boundary that what they were doing was “just fucking” with what happened in Vegas. All the little cuts to them hooking up in this episode kind of established that they both are currently on that same page. So when Ilya invited him over, had pre-planned having his favorite drinks and was cooking for him and asking him to stay over, he probably got overwhelmed and confused. I think it hit him especially hard because he’s (according to the author) on the autism spectrum and the boundary/routine that Ilya established was all of a sudden out the window. Ugh, I love both these dumb dumb boys so much😭 Only 2 more! And then a looooooong wait until 2027.
