also? the emphasis on the look at the life pod that Lockley had was because she had known Franklin from B5 and had no idea that he was in the pod or any of what had happened. My take away is that if it is a hive-mind sort of thing that is based on technology, they are communicating with one another in some way, and that by figuring out how they communicate, they could potentially shut it down by blocking the communication medium... ...turns out they were communicating via Faux Nooz the whole time!

That's also why he was able to save him - he went between the two iso-bays, so nobody else would have been exposed either. I tend to assume that this takes place before the visit to B5 when Lochley and Gideon hooked up. One of the weaknesses of the Crusade half-season is of course that it has no one perfect viewing order, and it was cancelled so suddenly that there was never any chance to give it a proper wrap-up episode to end it. But that can be turned into a weird sort of strength: you can go back and rewatch them in different orders to tease out different emphases and story arcs. So glad you enjoyed this!
