I do love when SPN does callbacks. Here we get Dean stabbing Zachariah in the face, like he said he would in 4x17. Plus we have the seemingly throwaway joke about working on “the power of love” and it ends up being what saves the day in Swan Song ❤️

2024-09-08 17:33:34 +0000 UTCin my opinion, Leah/The Whore won the 99 Problems episode. Even though she died, she did exactly what she was supposed to do. She took that town and broke it. She turned neighbors on each other, she took good people and made them do evil things, she got people killed and she turned a loving mother into a murderer. These people were ready to set children and innocent people on fire, because “angels” told them to. Not to mention, Dean is giving up and Leah pushed him into that, she got him to the edge of saying yes. I know you dont usually give the win to characters who arent repeat characters, but i definitely feel like she was the winner here. Adam definitely deserves better, and idk if you know this but they did want to get Jake Able back in season 6, Dean was going to rescue both Adam and Sam’s souls from Hell, but Jake’s manager wanted a lot more money and didnt actually even tell Jake that Supernatural wanted him back. Jake was furious when he found out his manager never told him about it and actually fired him, then reached out himself to see how he could get back on the show, which is how we get him back in season 15. I also think its important to note that while Adam was trapped in Hell, which is awful, i dont think he was tortured, at least not nearly to the same extent as Sam. Lucifer and Michael took out their anger entirely on Sam, and while Lucifer turned on Sam, Michael protected Adam from the worst of it, as they made a bond in the cage
