The writers knew a basic outline of plots set up by MCU and they got to see the movies ahead of audiences as well so yes seeds of doubt in the system are being planted before winter soldier came out. The compartmentalization this episode was even something Cap had a issue with at the start of that film. But what is interesting is Sitwell at the time this episode aired was not known as a hydra agent by audiences yet. He had made several appearances in other MCU properties along with Coulson so was just a familiar face. But now many new viewers of the show see Sitwell and know so it's ok. I love how the characters influence each other and you pointed out how Coulson is learning to doubt from Skye just as she is learning to trust the system. I noticed you started posting on YouTube but be careful because with the show people do unintentionally spoil with hints or certain comments. Now I can tell you that Thor the Dark World our first Marvel Movie during the show aired right after this episode. Since we all knew this I think it is safe to let you know about it now.
