Early access: BBV10s S10 E11 - Your questions answered!

To finish Season 10 of Bring Back V10s, we're taking your questions about anything to do with F1's V10 era.

Host Glenn Freeman is joined by Edd Straw, Matt Beer and Ben Anderson to answer a huge batch of questions,  so get ready to hear their thoughts on topics including the best number two driver of the V10 era, if Damon Hill could have won the 1993 title with a bit more luck, what would have happened if Michael Schumacher DIDN’T turn into Jacques Villeneuve at Jerez ‘97, how a Mika Hakkinen Williams comeback would have gone, and which F1 minnow would Edd Straw have saved if he was a millionaire in the early 90s.

Another great series loved the chat about the Duke Reviews. For me the best Review is the 1989 Review. It's the most in depth without being over long at 3hrs. I often watch 89,90 and 91. Back to back due to each reviews consistency. I wish they shown the same detail in 1992 and 1993.

Great end to another great season. I particularly enjoyed the discussion re: Duke F1 season review videos, and appreciated the shout-out for the two-part 1991 intro (the second part being particularly well edited and scored - definitely a contender for "best F1 season review intro" as it's incredibly atmospheric…) I also found the 1999 discussion interesting at the end of the episode. I am not sure it is quite the MSC lock it is often perceived to be (had he been injury-free), and it was good to hear a bit more chat about this. MSC was definitely having a bit of a mid-season wobble around the time of Silverstone - the unforced error in Montreal being the obvious example, but I also recall MSC randomly deciding to overtake Mika in the pit lane in qualifying at Silverstone, something I recall Brundle being particularly unimpressed with. Let's not also forget that MSC had made a rubbish start at Silverstone, and there was a certain air of urgency about the move on Irvine into Stowe (even without the brake failure). At that point in time it really felt Mika was in the ascendancy and it was MSC who was feeling the pressure. That said, MSC had an even bigger wobble in the middle of 2000 and still prevailed, and as was discussed in the episode, you'd have to think that both McLaren and Ferrari would have generally been sharper than they were post-Silverstone if MSC was still around. It might ultimately have turned out to be the most epic of all the Mika/MSC duels, but of course, in this alternative reality we’d have never had the HHF/Jordan fairytale championship challenge!
