Glen Cook's groundbreaking dark fantasy series The Black Company, about a hardbitten mercenary company in a fantasy world, clawed its way into my heart long, long ago. It never left. I ran Black Company-inspired games throughout high school and college. When Dennis and I launched Arc Dream in 2002, some of our earliest emails back and forth were about possibly licensing The Black Company for an RPG. Green Ronin beat us to it with their D&D 3rd Edition adaptation. I pitched in a little on that. Time passed. Delta Green flourished. We never lacked things to do. But the Black Company never left.

Now we've signed a deal with author Glen Cook to develop a Black Company RPG line.

We'll have a great deal more to say about it soon enough. It will be a while before it comes out. We are focused on the next few Delta Green books. But the Black Company is coming. Indeed, it never left.
