Morphoshop Tut!

Every now and then someone asks me how I do my morphs, or what app I use, or something like that, so I figured I would make a little tutorial to answer all the questions!

First off, I use Photoshop, but any photo editing software will do the trick. Get a photo you want to morph, open it in your software, and then you can get to work!

I start with the lasso tool, which I use to select and duplicate the elements from the image that will be growing/changing in some way. For example, here I've lassoed the top of the bikini, since the boobs will be getting bigger. Note that you can just select the entire bust and do the same method with it, but I like to separate the clothes and body so I have more control over how the end product will look.

Copy and paste the lassoed element, creating a new layer. Now I usually free transform or warp the layer to be bigger. It's kind of wonky right now, but we can always tweak things as we go to fine-tune the morph.

Next I do the same thing with the boobs.

And don't forget the side boobs! Now it's time for those aforementioned tweaks. At this stage there are some hard lines from where I copied and pasted things, and the overall shape feels off.

To finish things off I use the warp tool to make any big changes to the overall shape of the boobs, followed by liberal use of the smudge tool to blend things and soften up any hard edges leftover from erasing. I also use the airbrush to blend in some spots, to replicate shadow and light from the original photo, and to paint on a new cleavage line. When I'm painting with the airbrush, I almost always use the eyedropper tool to grab colors directly from the photo. The clone stamp tool is also really good for painting touch ups, especially since it preserves the texture from the original image.
