I was gonna stop doing Waifu Wars because I can't afford an editor anymore. BECAUSE OF YOU-KNOW-FUCKING-WHAT.
I had episode 4 in the can. The plan: I would edit it myself eventually. And as a guy with a real-life dayjob, that's not easy.
But Mr. Maxwell Kimball reached out to me on twitter and said, "I'll edit it for free!"
And god damn if he didn't do an amazing fucking job. He's 19, and he's already this talented, which is infuriating to me.
But credit where credit is due!
I'm spending all day looking for clips of these dumb cartoons he can edit in. You'll eventually see the final polished draft on my youtube channel. But I wanted to give you cool people the first-est possible look at this show.

I haven't edited a video since high school in Windows Movie Maker where I put videos of Dora the Explorer singing death metal, but I will gladly edit an episode for free!

You nail agreeable/clever comedy imo, so if you and Kimball are on good terms and you can help him mellow out, godspeed, sir. That said, I really do hope you scale it back on the drinking a bit dude! Seems like you get pretty/heavily drunk every other day.

2018-04-14 21:19:47 +0000 UTCYep I'm well familiar with (and have always gotten a big kick out of) the awesome Jewish tradition of self-deprecation, but he really goes heavily racist with it rather than anything clever or wry, which imo is the heart of that tradition. I totally agree with you that it's crazy how young he is, scarily so considering how much his stuff is getting put out by TDS every week or three. Hope you have great success mellowing out the extreme bits there, it could definitely be a good thing
