There are three things I personally love in ASMR: Switching between whispering and soft speaking, anticipatory moments (like heather feather used to do), and moments of silence. For me, these all have one thing in common, and that is ebb and flow. It's like adding an extra layer of dynamics to the video, creating moments of tension and release that help the watcher drift off.
