Podcast 44 - show notes

Hello lovely Patreons. As ever, here are some links and pics to go with the latest show.

The lead image this week is of a Dodge Ram dually pick-up, as mentioned by Richard. The second pic is of a Lincoln Continental Mark V in all its massive overhang glory. And finally we have a couple of images of Jonny's Waltzer sofa, made out of a genuine 1950s Maxwell Waltzer car from Butlins in Skegness and possibly for sale soon.

I bought a second hand sofa recently, which I managed to stuff in the back of my Volvo XC90 (perfect dog car for Rich, btw). The sofa’s old was sitting in a conservatory next to a proper ex-waltzer sofa, with table built in!

Talking of Lincoln Continentals reminds me of my youth time viewing of the eponymous "Cannon" TV series. His car had the mystery of a car phone and first time that I noticed US cars doing that infinite bounce thing after they were stopped.

Dave Smith

so according to the ZF wiki page, the ZF is a shortening of Zahnradfabrik rather than the initials of Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen!
