Everstone Daycare - Plans for April

Howdy everyone!

Sorry for the delay in making this post. After a hectic last few days of the previous month and a few IRL issues popping up at the start of this month, I needed a few days to crash, burn, and relax. But I'm reinvigorated and ready and get back on the saddle!

The last demo was finished by the skin of my teeth and was noticeably shorter due to the other goals I set for myself during the month, and the fact that I had spent the first week of March finishing the previous demo. Still, it was an improvement over not delivering something for the month (as low of bar that is), and I hope to continue to get better at being more timely with my updates.

I've spoken to Spooky and Tennet, and we've planned to go a little rearranging how I work on what's needed for the next demo. I've so far been doing all the writing by myself, which has shown itself to be not something I'm easily able to pick up and work on on a whim. We plan for Spooky to help with the writing as well, making his own sections of the story while I write mine. Hopefully this will help alleviate the pressure on me and increase the amount of story content for all of you as his art workload decreases (there's only so many backgrounds to make!) I also plan to do the writing work at the beginning of the month before doing all the polishing and testing instead of the reverse, ideally giving me enough time to go over several drafts of the story and implement them without having to cram at the end of the month.

As for the character themes we had promised last month, Tennet is still hard at work on making the first one which is planned to be Buizel's theme. He has currently just been occupied with finals and other schoolwork, so we have had to delay 

Anyway, here a list of goals I hope to accomplish this month:

• Polishing the previous demo - As I've stated earlier the previous demo was shorter and missing the amount of polish that I had given the intro section. I want to rectify this by going over the story again and implementing the sound effects that I had not been able to last month.
• Create a walkthrough document - I've received comments stating their confusion on what the key received in the previous demo would be used for. I have decided that maintaining some kind document that lists down everything related to the game and how use/access them would be the best course of action to be able to answer these inquiries even when Tennet, Spooky, and I are away.
• Solve the 'Ekans bug' and other bugs -  I had been informed that there was a bug that causes a freeze that people were experiencing when interacting with Ekans that I have so far been unable to reproduce. I'm not sure where exactly it occurs, so I'm not able to fix it immediately. If you have any idea about this particular bug, please feel free to inform me! Freezes and softlocks are my highest priority when it comes to fixes.

It's so far looking like a pretty free month for me, giving me a lot of time to focus on writing. I'll update the list if I missed anything, but otherwise I'll do my best to make new content that I hope to deliver on time. Thank you again for all your support and I appreciate all your feedback!
