Firstly, I would like to appreciate how you handle the accusations, like actually looking them up, being as neutral (not sure if this is the right word, but I hope you get what I mean) as possible and encouraging people to do their own research. I have seen so many people just straight up hate on them/bully them and I of course don't at all want to defend their alleged actions at all, I just don't think that this is the way to go. Also I was surprised that you wrote down my Top 8. Like I did not mind at all, I'm glad that you appreciate my comments, but I was just really not expecting that haha. I will talk more about my new Top 8 in the second part! To the topic of idols that are in still active groups: This is definitely a really interesting topic. I have thought about this a lot and I don't think that I can actually predict what the idols in B2P think, but there are definitely some theories I have overall. I do think that there are some idols or even groups that are only here because they want to promote their group or get some experience out of it, maybe even most of them. Maybe because they also just don't even think that they have a chance to debut or they would be fine with making the group. I am just really wondering, maybe not even in this show but in general, if there is an idol that was forced to be in the show that does not want to debut and because of that is purposefully performing badly. The only reason why it would make not that much sense to me, is that their image might get bad if they do that, so it is definitely a bit of a risk, but it is possible. From all the idols I do think that rn only Junseo and Kangmin have a chance to debut and I really can't tell if they want to. I do think that Kangmin said that he is here to debut in the first ep, but tbh that does not need to mean much. I just really wonder if both of them expected to have such high rankings. Maybe I actually should keep this in mind when voting but I am really not for some reason. Regarding Leo: I was also researching a bit more about him, thought a lot about it and I did come to a conclusion for myself. This is mostly also because I do also think that he has a very high chance to debut, like I think I actually would be surprised to see him (and Sangwon & Anxin too tbh) not debut. But it's also cause I just really liked his first performance and also everything we have seen in the second part of this episode. I do want to give him a chance and believe him for meaning his apology and learning from his mistakes. I, of course, don't want to excuse his behavior in any form tho and I too think that people defending him cause he was 19 is pretty stupid. Not sure if you have seen or even know her, but Hannah Bahng (The sister of Bang Chan from Stray Kids) has shown her support for him, also saying that they are friends. This is definitely not my only reason for my decision and also not 100% proof of anything, but it did feel a bit reassuring. I can totally understand those that are still unsure or those that choose not to support him tho. On the topic of minors: I do think that not too many minors actually have the chance to debut rn, maybe this will change in the future, but the only one that I think has a pretty high chance is Hsu Ching Yu. If this is just about age I do would rather see someone that is not a minor debut but I do really like what we have seen of him so far. I do always wish that if there is a minor, that they are at least 16. I don't have a hard time not voting minors, not sure if I'm just "lucky" this season because I just don't really have anyone that I would vote for or if it's just the fact that they are minors that is already keeping me from voting for them. It's definitely a hard topic. I will only comment on some of the cut performances cause I just don't really have anything to say for some. I do just have to say that I really don't get why they cut some of the performances, like the only reason I can think of is that they just don't want them in the group. The first performances are so important and they know it. Not sure if this is actually as easy done as said, but I really would have liked to have, like, one more episode so we can see, maybe not all, but at least every performance where at least one trainee survived. But yeah that would probably be too fair for Mnet. I think it's really interesting how often some trainees do the same songs and the amount of Enhypen is kinda funny. Now let's get into the performances! Enhypen - Sweet Venom: I know WEi, not that well but I do like some of their songs and also have really liked Donghan since JBJ. I do think that the only other member I knew was Yohan, only got to know Junseo cause of Secret Relationships. I actually have not watched that BL yet tho, I tried but I never got into it, but I'm also very bad at watching new things. The thing with Kany was so funny tho haha. We actually had a pretty different reaction to this performance. I think I was expecting or maybe even wanted for him to be better, especially as an active idol. I definitely held him to a different standard than the other idols for some reason, maybe because I want him to be good or cause I also think that he has a high chance to debut. It definitely wasn't bad tho and 2 stars are totally fine. The song choice definitely wasn't the best, but who knows who actually chooses the songs. My opinion on him changed a lot after seeing the rest of the episode tho, I will talk about him more in the second part. Yeonjun - Ggum: He seems really sweet and he also is pretty good. I don't really have much else to say to him yet. Deux - Break Off the Yoke: I think that the Justhis song was maybe like a special performance since they are fans of him? They do seem pretty good. Zico - Artist: Sanghyeon was definitely a vibe-only pick for me cause I did not have enough people to vote for. They were ok I think, definitely not a good song to showcase what you can do. I'm interested to see more of Sanghyeon but rn I do just have a lot more people that I like more. Enhypen - Future Perfect: I heard of this group but I don't think that I have ever heard a song, they did pretty good tho. I'm personally just not the biggest fan of how Junmin performs but that's really just personal preference cause he is definitely good. The others also did well, but I'm also not really interested. P1Harmony - Back down: I know DKB but tbh I don't think that I could name one song. They did like really good, tho. Harry June was my pick after episode 1 cause I again did not have enough people to vote for and I just really liked him from the PR video. I don't think that I will vote for him again but this performance did make me want to check out DKB. I kinda love Heuichan, he seems fun. He for some reason gives me huge Choi Hyunwook vibes. Maybe not the actor himself but the roles he played in Weak Hero Class, 25 21 and Twinkling Watermelon. I do think that they also look a bit similar. Rain - Rainism: I actually was expecting this outcome. He does seem like a great dude, but I do have to say that I am not the biggest fan of his dancing. I'm sure that he is really, really good, but I personally just don't really like his style. So him having good vocals would not change much for me. I do agree that it is more important to have a better foundation when it comes to singing, but maybe that's also because I think that it would be easier to get better at dancing than it is to get better at singing. Zico - Spot! (Andrew and Taichi) Don't have too much to say about this but I have seen lots of people support Andrew, so I'm looking forward to seeing more from him. BTS - Dope: (Chris from Blitzers) Not much to say about his performance, and it does not really matter too much for this show cause he's gone now, but I do still want to mention it: He also has a controversy around him, but I have not researched much about it yet, but he apparently defended Drake in his Instagram live. TXT - I'll see you there Tomorrow: One of the performances where I'm like why not air that? I remember Haneum from his PR video, loved his voice in that too already. He did really good, interested to see more of him. NCT U - Baggy Jeans: I'm interested on why they did not air this cause Masato is so popular. Masato was also a vibe pick for me cause I did not have enough people to vote for and just from this performance alone he probably would not have stayed there, but I do have grown to really like him from the other moments we have seen of him. Also looking forward to seeing more of Junil, he actually also was in Trainee A but I think he left pretty early on. Jay Park - Ganadara: I do am a little sad that Ryan is gone. Not that I thought that he had a chance to debut but it would have been fun to still have him around. ZB1 - Feel the Pop: It's crazy how this is the second time that his performance wasn't aired, I think Mnet really does not want him to debut. He did really good, I also don't really know why he got 2 stars. Personality-wise, I do really like Seowon, but I personally am not too interested in him as a performer. I hope he comes far tho. Zico - Spot!: (Yoon Min) And another performance where I don't know why they did not show it, he did so well. I know him cause he was in the survival show Loud and actually was supposed to debut with KickFlip but, for some reason, left before they debuted. I do really like him but he for some reason just does not really fit into the final group that I have in mind. Maybe that will change tho, am definitely interested to see more of him here. I did not mind the clothes from last season too much, like they were not pretty, but it was mostly just cause the colors did not fit together. I definitely think that the clothes for K Group this season are worse than the ones in S1. The differences in the dorms per class are definitely a bit unnecessary but not that big of a deal, I guess. The "you can't take all of your belongings" is definitely a bit weird tho. I do love the random dog. Looking forward to the next part of this reaction :)
