Episode of Ks downfall sounds so funny 😂😂 poor baby I think people really forgot that he’s the oldest so debut seems harder and as a marathon runner you basically work alone he was stressed😭😭

Pari

Flicker might be my fav I land song!!

Based on what Enhypen have said about Heesung and what &TEAM have said about K both of them are competitive and perfectionists when it comes to things they are passionate about. When you are passionate about something you tend to act in a certain way depending on your personality. Both of them wanted to win with their team but they had different viewpoints and priorities. Considering the lack of time they had to practice and the preassure they felt I understand why the emotions ran high. Some others contestants also had minor conflicts wich wasn't shown in the episodes. Maybe because it didn't fit into the storyline? You might be right about K considering that he have said that he feels like he has a huge responsability as the oldest member in &TEAM (as well as in Iland). To me it also looked like Heeseung wanted to lead but because he wasn't the oldest he took a step back. Considering that he was the trainee who always was on top in the monthly evaluations in bighit he must have felt the pressure to live up to the expectations he felt that people had on him. There's a lot of things we don't see in the episodes when it comes to their relationship. When it only were 11 contestants left they answered a bunch of questions (wich wasn't released in the episodes). One of the questions was who they wanted as a real brother. Based on the answers K was the person who most people wanted as a brother and Taki was second. It's probably unexpected for a lot of people, especially if your opinion about K is based on what you see in the episodes. But the episodes are just a glimpse of their life after all. If you want to check it out for yourself here's links. Ep. 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=col-oM1FG5Q&list=PLKi44Zp0M8w2Q9-APup3DJO7ATe8pF6WT&index=27 Ep. 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEsJLOtajGE&list=PLKi44Zp0M8w2Q9-APup3DJO7ATe8pF6WT&index=28 K had been a trainee in Korea for 8 month before Iland btw. This was the last K drama in the episodes. The last drama that happend was before the final when a fan of a different contestant made up a false rumor about K. The rumor became a big thing. The person who made up the rumor later on wrote a long letter where she said sorry.

me too 😭 i liked him on the show but I didn't think he was ready to debut

sandgirl2000

you’re not alone about jake 😭 he’s good now but I don’t think he deserved to debut back then

Yeah for sure all survival shows are kinda traumatizing, but especially iland since it's during pandemic times so there's no interaction with outsiders and yes also because there's so few of them! Not surprised that all the contestants just want to leave this show in the past and not talk about it

dradniel

Yeah honestly I was expecting this drama to be so much worse based on how much I saw engenes talking about it like it was the end of the world... And yes especially since it was a few years ago already so obviously all the boys have learned and grown even more so everyone should just move on.

yeah K is perceived as a performance leader in &team by lune and the members but its not an official position, K steers a bit away from leadership now, he handled the situation wrong & I think he's well aware of that, the age hierarchy in Korea is more important than Japan (obviously it still exists) but as you said I think the language barrier was a big issue as he actually didn't spend as much time in Korea as you'd think, on his profile it says he trained for 2 years and 8 months but most of that time he was in LA as I'm pretty sure hybe had an American branch and he has mentioned training there many times before. Engenes really did overreact as normal & still haven't let it go, I think everyone realises the things he did wrong but since Enhypen are still close with him till this day I see no problem. Atleast this challenge gave us flicker with turned out quite well

In my opinion, the whole i-land environment was just awful, and the fact that there are lesser contestants just adds more pressure on them, the en- boys don't even want to mention the show lol it was just a traumatic experience so they could debut. Also, the main issue with the K drama is that people keep bringing this up to hate on K, even though they are all in good terms now and he's clearly in a better mental estate now, but it's recorded so there's no way out of it
