And a good covid to you.

It's been a week! At least I'm upright (supported by cushions, but) and hyped to draw dumb little comics over the photo of my covid test today.

Unfortunately finishing tomorrow's pages will require standing up (and many more hours) so if you don't see new pages tomorrow, hang in there, they'll come when I'm able to finish them. Thanks in advance for your patience!

I haven't been this sick since 2007, but I've got a lot of nice friends taking care of me, including this attentive nurse.

(I hope I accurately expressed the feeling of rolling a swab uncomfortably far up your nose, because that drawing is exactly how I feel every time.)

And a good covid to you.

Rest well, 🤞🤞 for a swift and full recovery!

4 days since you posted, so I really hope you are over the worst and starting to mend. Bearing in mind that it is different for everyone, some things that have been common amongst my circle: 1) Feeling better doesn't mean you are ready to resume normal activity - pace yourself and be prepared for a staged rtn to normal. 2) Covid brain lasts longer than you think, so be gentle with yourself if your brain is playing catchup. 3) Immune system has been super busy fighting covid, so has no capacity left. Be extra careful of exposure to other bugs while it rebuilds (and remember to thank it for all that it did for you). I hope you are doing ok, and contiue to do so. Like everyone else mentioned, there is no pressure for output here. You are more important than what you do for us. (Edit: because sometimes I forget the shift key before hitting enter!

:^( Ugh, I hope you heal soon! I'm seeing more and more folks fall to Covid thanks to Omicron. Well, an updated vaccine will be out in the fall. Which is good because apparently having the newer Omicron variants doesn't even offer much immunity and people are now easily re-infected.

Helpful! And yeah, unlike some webcomics I read and have just learned to ignore the comments for (even VERY SMALL ONES) your comment sections have generally been really well behaved! Fans can totally operate a fan discord on their own, particularly with permission, but of course some of the appeal (not by any means all of it) can be the presence of the author, and as you said, you're at the limit of stuff you have to pay attention to (although maybe less work if someone else is adminning it, maybe?). But a DIscus will help, even if I get VERY confused by apparently separate disqus accounts for my separate email addresses! It's been a long, crazy series of years; I've missed briefly visiting your table at Gencon (and also Gencon) but it's just been an excellent set of years to back away from cons for a while!

Funny enough, I'll have a forum on the new comic (it just completely slipped my mind to prepare it in time!) because my readers have been unreasonably civil and kind on GWS ("unreasonably" for the internet - you're right, it's usually toxic). I hear so many good things about discord, but I'm at max capacity for platforms that I have to open and pay attention to. Do you know if fans can open and operate a fan discord on their own? I feel bad even asking that! Either way, if a Disqus forum (hopefully next month) would be the answer to that thirst, it's coming! :) Thank you for asking!

Hope you feel and get better soon! Any chance of a fan discord (patron-only or not)? I don't blame you one bit for not having a forum on the new comic (because a lot of unmoderated comic forums can get hella toxic) but it's nice to have somewhere to talk about the comics and discord is a lot easier to moderate or appoint moderators for.

Hope you feel better soon. That *exactly* captures what it feels like when I swab my nose for the test. Ugh.

This is why we have a separate fleece blanket on top of the bed just for our tuxedo boy. He likes to burrow under it and become a croissant of coziness. Your cat doesn't deserve you. 😻🫂😍

Ruth Merriam

I made the mistake of ADORABLY tucking him into the dead-center of the bed when I finally changed the sheets (technically his job, but), and I so desperately needed to lie down, but like... I'm not gonna move a cat tucked into a blanket, come on. I slept at the foot of the bed like a good pet. (<3 thank you)

Don't do a damned thing to disturb that nurse. You know how much attitude you'll get if you do. Totally not worth it. Also not worth it to try to hurry your recovery. We'll all wait patiently for you. I mean, c'mon. We all love you.

Ruth Merriam

sending you good thoughts for rest and quick recovery!

Christina

Oh jeez! Wishing a swift recovery for you, Danielle! You seem like you're in very capable hands - I mean, paws :)

Katie McMahon

Oh nooooo! I hope you have a quick and full recovery, covered in cats and the care of your friends! -Jess

I haven't taken a COVID test in a while, but I DO swab my nose more than what I suppose is the usual, bc my nose likes to accumulate more snot than it seems possible to hold and COME OUT OF THERE D= hope you're better soon! that nurse seems top drawer!

Minzoku Bokumetsu

I shuddered right along with you!! Glad it's over for ya!

Danielle Corsetto

So sorry. I just ended quarantine, yesterday. I'd actually felt fine for a week, but got to keep *shudder* swabbing in the hopes that it would finally clear up.

Jon Guyer

Rest up and let those antibodies do their work. I hope you feel better soon, but don't rush it!
