Well... what a massively exciting month July was! We finally released our long-awaited Reveal Trailer to much support and encouragement - so thank you so much! Besides that, though, July has been a somewhat quiet month as we've given our developers a well-deserved rest.
Nevertheless, let's see what we got up to behind-the-scenes, hey?

As stated, July was a quiet month. Well, that's an understatement. July was actually our quietest month yet with... 1 (yes, one) commit to the code. Don't worry though - this was planned and things have since gotten back into motion!

The main event of the month (or year?) - the Restitched Reveal Trailer! In July we took dozens of recordings and 80+ screenshots to prepare for the trailer, and also compiled the trailer itself (which you can see here)!
You can read more about the whole process in our Dev Diary 'Reveal Trailer' so we won't go into too much detail, but we created 7 different versions of the trailer before we were totally happy with the result - the original version of which you can view in the aforementioned Dev Diary!
This, of course, was a huge milestone for us. The community's response has been phenomenal and inspired us to no end. We can't wait to share more of this game with you!

Carter created some lovely Stamps for us in July, including a super-useful Needle 'n Thread indicator which will be extremely useful in levels that decide not to use the built-in indicator. We especially love the lollipop-that-looks-like-a-planet, too!

Cade and Kyran went about creating some lovely Props for use in Build Mode. You may spot a familiar old friend in these images, but rest assured these were created with new Stuffy in mind!

As per usual, with another month came another page of Cpt. Stuffy! Here's a preview of July's page:

In mid-late July we had two big discussions regarding the following topics:
We came up with several categories of things to work on, and agreed that the first one we would tackle would be 'Stuffy's Gameplay'. Suggestions for the gameplay included: sliding, sideways climbing, double jump, rock-climbing with needle, rappelling and swinging from anchor point, needle slash, climbing up/down N&T, hopping down ledges instead of running off, and more.
We had several more discussions in August - which we'll share next month!
And there we go! A quieter month for our dev team but, as stated, progress has resumed! See you next month for August's Recapped!
