Progress Report

Another week, huh?

I know I said last week that I would stop working on the next game for now, but... I just couldn't. This was especially true when I took my second dose of Covid vaccine this week and was struck by horrible fatigue again for a few days. I managed to distract myself by making characters in Daz Studio (the 3D application I use to create the graphics for LLtP) for the new game, which made time fly. I can happily say that the basic design for all the central characters is now in place. In my opinion, they all look incredible. It's a massive technological leap over what you see in LLtP. Every character in this game uses the latest Daz technology with HD models and skins, as well as incredibly lifelike eyes. It really has to be seen to be believed, though obviously, you can't see it yet. But you will! Patrons and subscribers at the $10 level and above can expect detailed previews shortly, and slightly less detailed previews will trickle down to everyone else who supports me (naturally). Still, I've got to hold back a few nuggets to reward my most generous supporters.

As patrons/subscribers, you should have access to a secret channel where I regularly share information on what I'm doing with the new game, including teaser images and teasers in general. I also take feedback from supporters to help shape features and graphics that I'm uncertain about. 

Anyway, back to LLtP, which is what most of you are probably reading this for anyway. 

Because I lost half the week to the vaccine, I couldn't get much done. The character design for the other game was far less intensive work and could be done even while fatigued. However, version 0.38 of LLtP requires a lot more thought and effort. Three central features will be part of this update:

It's that last point that I have been able to do serious work on this week. The way Perversity works will change slightly in this update in ways that I will come back to later. Reaching Perversity 6 is both easier and harder than the equivalent levels on other abilities. I know I'm vague here, but I don't want to promise something before it's 100% primed and ready to go if something changes. 

Right now, I have already fully unlocked the ability score and made it possible to reach level 6 in it. I still need to make minor changes to the user interface to reflect this. I must also add better user feedback to help players understand what is happening when that ability score changes. It should be straightforward enough.

After this, I intend to dive straight into the night scenes, trying to do them as quickly and efficiently as I possibly can, knowing that there are a lot of them to complete.

And that's about it for now. This update is a daunting task, but it's already well underway, despite the temporary health setbacks of this past week.

I appreciate it. Anyone who has been around for a while might remember that I used to always talk about the *possibility* that I *might* create a new game after LLtP. The fact that I'm no longer using such words shows that I'm in this for the long haul, no matter what. I'm *excited* to keep working on these games for you guys. :)

You made an amazing game and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. That said, take all the time you need, we'll still be here, but I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say to take care of yourself first. This that care about you and your games will still be here.
