Im so happy that some people in chat shared the same theory i had (that the mom was in love with Haebums dead mom)! Bc for me it actually makes so much sense: the mom is always reminiscing about her, talking to her, she said she didn't marry out of love and her episode of "not accepting Haebum and Taesung" almost felt like her own heart was broken by the society to the point that she didn't want this happening to the boys. It could also explain why she changed her mind so fast.
