Progress Report

Greetings, everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed playing the latest release of the game. As for myself, I'm incredibly pleased to have finally put the endgame behind me. This was always going to be a challenging, slow crawl to the finish, and as you were probably able to tell, that was precisely what happened. But we're done with it now, allowing us to move on.

As promised before, the focus for version 0.35 will be to set up the basic implementation of New Game Plus (NG+). Before anyone gets too excited about this, don't. There's not going to be anything that will turn the game upside down here or any massive story revelations. The main story is done. NG+ will be mostly concerned with providing a good replay experience. 

This might mean skipping past sections that might not be all that interesting the second time around, letting you avoid some optional content that you already completed (such as reading books), and offering a few alternate dialogues here and there. There will be some bonus content only available in NG+, but don't expect much of that in 0.35. This update will be more focused on the programming aspect of development than most updates before, which is kind of refreshing.

Now that many of you will be returning to the early parts of the game through the NG+ experience, I feel that it's the perfect time to continue improving some of the oldest sex scenes. As you know, I have already taken steps to improve old scenes before, but some of the worst offenders still remain. You know which ones I'm talking about. Most of the remaining scenes only need a facelift. In contrast, others (Evelyn's and Samarra's first sex scenes, for example, as well as most of Nell's early encounters) need to be rebuilt from the ground up. 

I'm probably not going to get to all of those immediately, but I'll start looking at them in this update. First up is the masturbation scene in the tutorial. Its presence there is... weird. It mostly came from excitedly playing around with all these tools in Daz Studio and realizing that it would still take a long time before getting to use the male genital assets. So, I added that scene almost as a way for me to practice. Well, I think I can do better, so I'm reimagining that part of the game to make things more spicy and appealing. That's what I've been focusing on for the few days I've been able to work on new features since last week's release, anyway. Bonus: The things I'm doing with this scene will serve as good practice for my next game. 

As this update moves along, I'll keep you informed about what I'm doing with NG+. For now, I haven't even started developing that feature.
