I LOVE the new edits!! The conversation with Vermillion is especially interesting. I love how we got a better description of the outworlder who introduced “New Magic”, and how the EOA being a serious threat was better justified with their move on the wealthy. Also, the dialog felt less clunky.

Heath Miller nailed it again! Taika is one of, if not my favorite peripheral characters an d his voice was perfect. It’s hard to gauge how much content there really is when reading in serial form so I was surprised this one only got to the walk about. Thanks for your hard work!

I think that’s the issue with publishing these web novel type/chapter by chapter type stories, one and two were incredible and 3 was kind of a dud. Four has been a blast so far but I’m really worried because there’s enough miserable sadness filled chapters to fill two books coming up. Might be enough to lose a lot of the people that just follow the amazon side of things.

I've spent the last few weeks looking forward to the audible release strictly to hear taika. Haven't listened yet so this comment got me even more excited.

I will have to reread it. I have the same recollection, but it may do better without the pauses.

I somehow remember the earth story arc to be a bit weaker compared to the rest, but maybe that's just my bad memory. I'm half way through and I must say the interactions with Jason's family is some of the best work by shirt. Also the game of thrones thing got me good. I had forgotten that was there.

What happened with book three was that the wrong version was uploaded, and it had to be re-uploaded, then a bunch of people reported errors, many of which were just Australian English, not actual errors. It got to the point were Amazon flagged it for review and took the ebook down on launch day for several hours, which was less than ideal.
