The spellcasting coin is a staple among thieves and shady mages alike. It's most powerful weapon is the hubris of those who don't believe in its power. The less you know about it, the easier it is to fall under its spell. They are generally frowned upon and hidden from the public because of how easy it is to use them, leaving the door wide open for misuse by malicious entities. It doesn't seem to stop especially relentless ruffians from acquiring them on the black market.
Not even princesses from faraway lands are safe. Once you obtained a small group of "loyal subjects", it becomes a lot easier for the situation to escalate, rapidly spreading the coin's influence.

I finished producing the video material this morning and am currently working on the audio side of things, but it's definitely not ready yet, so I'm posting a version without audio for the time being.
