My First Patreon-Exclusive Video: What do YOU want to see?
Added 2018-04-09 10:39:39 +0000 UTCFriends:
I'm gearing up for my first Patreon-exclusive video. You've all been amazing with your support and community and that's allowed me to step up my game on the production front.
You should have some video content that's just for you.
James Boatwright as suggested a video on basic box making and I think that's a great idea, but I'm open to others. Let me know in the comments what YOU want to see as my first exclusive video.
Also, check out James' post on the community page. He made these great blocks for his granddaughter and he describes the process very clearly. Anyone with young children in their life should have a look.
I'll leave this post up for a week and then use the responses to get started.
Happy Monday!

You know, that's a great idea and I'd love to do it. Unfortunately, it's still the tail-end of winter here in Ohio and there won't really be any flea markets for a while yet. I do plan to take my camera to the Hersey show in October. I made a video about all the tools I found there last year and I want to do more of a walk-around. I'll try to do it!

2018-04-13 00:23:21 +0000 UTCI think build videos (especially difficult ones like a chess set) deserve to be on the public channel - they take a lot of effort to make so why not put them out there? Personally, as a person living outside of USA, I'd like to see a video about flea market / boot sales in your area. you know - walk around, see the vendors and their stuff, maybe buy a tool or two, maybe cool finds. For me it's fascinating to see how one man's junk is another woodworker's treasure :) but that's only me..

2018-04-12 12:47:04 +0000 UTCI'd love to do something like this! At the moment, I'm leaning toward a video on basic box making. I can do a good video on that and it's helpful to a lot of people.

2018-04-11 15:17:51 +0000 UTCNote that the guy who made the cool stepped board in the second link made a mistake, the boards rotated 90 degrees from correct. "White goes right" ooops.

2018-04-11 13:38:04 +0000 UTCSome fun and simple to make chess designs here. <a href="http://www.home-designing.com/2014/04/30-unique-home-chess-sets." rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.home-designing.com/2014/04/30-unique-home-chess-sets.</a> And I love this simple woodworkers set which is very playable. <a href="https://www.popularmechanics.com/home/how-to-plans/a22075/how-to-make-a-simp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.popularmechanics.com/home/how-to-plans/a22075/how-to-make-a-simp</a>

2018-04-11 13:31:31 +0000 UTCYou know, I've often thought of doing that for a buddy of mine that's really into chess. It's a good idea!

2018-04-10 00:27:08 +0000 UTCStaunton chesson are a pain, but there are lots of modern playable designs that are easy.

2018-04-09 22:21:53 +0000 UTCI'd love to see you make either a chessboard or a set of chessmen. Not sure how labor intensive it would be or if it's your thing, but I thought I'd throw it out there!
