As the Medusid-20 infection reaches more advances stages, the victim's epidermal layers stiffen, reducing the flexibility of their limbs. As a consequence, the victims will move more slowly as the infection progresses. While this reduced mobility may make the infected seem less dangerous, please note that the spread of the infection is typically uneven; they may still capable of moving one or more limbs more quickly. Do not let yourself be caught off guard if one of the infected is close enough to reach you!
If you must venture outside of your home to carry out one of the legally-authorized, essential activities, be wary of entering confined spaces where you are unable to maintain a safe distance between yourself and any infected individuals in the vicinity. The infected may move slowly, but if you enter tight quarters while several infected are nearby you could easily find yourself cut off from any viable escape routes. The CDC recommends that you avoid entering alleys or exterior stairwells if infected are in the area.
