Quick Draw - Behavior Based Fast Weapon Drawing and Faster Aim with Arrows

  So here's another small behavior mod that may come in handy,  I never really liked skyrim's vanilla weapon unsheathe speed, everyone is firing their arrows and spells at you and there's no sense of urgency

 Same with Bow Nock speeds. This mod speeds up both those actions for the player, NPCs get regular speeds, So at least this gives you time to run towards the annoying archer shooting cheapshots towards you, also, while they nock, their movement speeds are slower, so they are punished for being cowards.

Mod Requirement is just nemesis.

Things to note should be that if you use CGO, just delete Nemesis_engine > mod > dscgo > weapequip

yah CGO covered so many things, luckily they can be removed


also if you use Archery Gameplay overhaul, I'm aware it doesn't have a nemesis patch by default, there is a standalone patch but it conflicts with this mod.

It may not really be necessary also, but deleting "Archery Gameplay Overhaul SE\meshes\actors\character\behaviors\1hm_behavior.hkx" might be needed if the bow nock speeds don't work, it's only to change the animations so it doesnt affect the esp changes of AGO

All custom animations still work, this just speeds them up a bit, but retains speeds of NPCs


Just install it like you would a nemesis mod, tick the patch  "Faster Drawing" Nemesis mod code(the small case letters below the patcher) is "bows", if it shows then the patch is good, if it has empty/blank spaces in the patcher, like my other mods, it's best to make a fresh nemesis patch


This is it for now, lot's of work to be done, currently I'm working on more telegraphed creatures, adding more NPC stuff like telegraphed spells to inquisitor and I've been looking at Conversation behaviors recently, I wanna do something with that, With so many quality quest mods, more conversation animations would help and hopefully frameworking that to have cutscenes eventually.

any chance for this mod without the archery changes? Really like the equip speed but feel cheaty with the free quickdraw/ ranger perk.

Mod will not show up in Nemesis after install. Using Vortex. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This mod allows you to ignore Archery Perk and move quickly while drawing your bow.

In what way does it conflict with the AGO Nemesis patch? Really interested in the faster nocking, but AGO's animations are a must have for me :/

So this may sound like a really newb modding question, but I never really run into this situation enough much for me to really look up an answer to. But when I try to install this on MO2 it tells me the content of the data does not look valid and I am not sure where or if I need to set the directory to

the name is faster drawing and the code is "bows", check if you ticked it on mo2, also if it shows a blank on the patcher, just start fresh

Hey ADRI, was wondering if you could add first person support to Inquisitor in the same fashion as your other first person combat mods, they are so great and you've already revolutionized first person melee combat!

that's the plan, I really liked darksouls style of swapping weapons, currently i just sped it up because skipping the equip behaviors led to crashes, but i'm trying to fin a way to avoid this

Hey ADRI! This mod is really great! Could you make a mod where weapon switching behavior works just like shield and magic switching or simply speed the switch speed up as well? In vanilla behavior, when you switch to different weapon, the animation for weapon drawing will play and you can't attack during that time. This will help reducing the clunky feeling of switching weapons mid battle.

"I've been looking at Conversation behaviors recently, I wanna do something with that" This is so nice to read <3 I've been playing with Serana and I'm not sure it she moves like that when talking by default or a mod did that, and thought "Why did nobody make a mod for body expressions like this?".
