Yet her respite is only temporary; surely someone will eventually notice that the environment is still running, and then shut it off. What would happen to Diane’s consciousness if the environment is deactivated while she is still within it? She has no desire to find out! Fortunately, the developer left his control panel open, giving Diane access to the NPC profiles he had been working on. Her only hope for salvation is to upload herself into one of those NPCs and escape into the game, Fantasie Unchained. At least, that is the theory…
