At least that was what the “life assurance” company Digital Destiny promised. All Diane had to do was step into the quantum resonance imaging chamber and they would record her memories, to one day be uploaded into a virtual reality where human beings could theoretically live forever. After Diane stepped into the scanner she suddenly found herself in VR, but it was far from the virtual paradise the Digital Destiny rep had led her to expect. She is now at the mercy of a sociopathic game developer who threatens to delete her from existence unless she performs certain favors for him…
