Made for a patron, inspired by a MtG card they'd seen.

I'd say the appearance of the creature depends entirely on who's character it is. If it's a PC, that's up to that character's player. If it's an NPC, that's on the individual DM.

Thicker hair like braids? (Thinking like what happened to Kerrigan in Starcraft)... Actually a cocoon version that alters / empowers someone would be pretty awesome based on that concept...
