I've read the book... and I don't think it would adapt well, honestly. But yes, the guy can kill just about anyone with just about anything... There's just a LOT LESS extreme violence than Baba Yaga usually gets up to. :P

2023-09-15 00:42:57 +0000 UTCThe second picture reminds me of something I heard recently about an attempted film adaptation of the novel Shibumi in 2004, which would have starred Keanu Reeves as a professional assassin. One of the notes from the studio said: "We can't just have an entire act of Keanu's character killing people in creative ways in one long extended action sequence." Yes, yes, that would be a terrible idea, wouldn't it. *facepalm*
