Harden his heart towards something he probably didn't want to personally do, but feels he has to do due to how bad things are. It gets a lot harder to even consider taking a life if you know there's good there than if you think they're pure evil.

2015-05-05 18:18:33 +0000 UTCIt's easy to forget that even people you see as enemies have loved ones waiting for their safe return and dreams they want to see through. The world is not black and while, it's shades of gray (well, the comic has all three color-wise, but that's to be expected).
