Gotta say, there's something kinda touching about the rapport between Prosciutto and Pesci too though! You can tell their team is more than just a random band of criminals. Pesci even used their bond to draw up strength for the fight....but man, that was a cowardly move at the end, and Bruno was NOT having it!!! Now we get to explore the mystery of Trish's Stand, face the next Hitmen person, and hopefully find a way to patch up Mista?!?!?! Like he still got shot in the head so like.....I don't know if staples are gonna do it this time?!?!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Aw yeah, it makes sense that if your Stand is a manifestation of your soul, there would be a lot going on with it if you were in some kind of turmoil.

The problem for all of them would be timing, like it only took a few minutes before he died, and after that, there's nothing they can do. I don't think Joseph would be fast enough. I think you're right! I know, at least he could've said goodbye!!! :((( Well shoot, now I'm sad!!! You should totally write that fanfic! I think the healer discussion is a good one!

2024-04-04 14:19:49 +0000 UTCLol yes that's true! Somewhere around when he discovered he could grow parts of the body, I figured it out haha. Oh that's a good point about Joseph's Hamon! You know what's funny? In my head, I always pictured that Joseph healed Josuke up a little bit at the end of Part 4. Cause one minute we see Josuke with things sticking out of him lol, the next he's totally fine and seeing them off at the boat. Now there could have been a few weeks or even month in between there, but they never really say. And Josuke can't heal himself. Polnareff would have been the one getting healed all the time LOL!!! Good point about the eyes though. Haha maybe eyes was where he draws the line! Awww I love the idea that he emotionally adopted them lol! I can totally see him nervous that he'd mess up his eyes haha. Yeah there was just no time in that Dio fight. Hahaha Speedwagon was technically a healer with the whole frostbite thing! I personally think Josuke is the best, Giorno is a close second but his doesn't include the instant pain relief :P So yeah, I'd have to choose him because I am a big baby about pain!!!! How about you?

2024-04-03 14:43:34 +0000 UTCEven though Prosciutto & Pesci are in AllStar Battle R (jjba video game I'm currently playing, try it someday, you can buy it on Steam), I didn't think much about them, lately (my mains in the game rn are Kakyoin, Diego, Hol Horse, Caesar, Iggy, Josuke, Trish, and Weather. Am thinking of trying part4!Jotaro, too, sometime, and maybe LisaLisa). So this was really an enjoyable rewatch, esp with your reactions to Pesci. 😀 I will write more later. Also, interesting to hear different theories about Trish's Stand. I remember that for example Caleb & Jacob (semblance of sanity, you can see their channel on youtube) theorised, not without readon cuz that could look like claw marks.... they theorised that Trish is gonna have some lizard Stand. Of course, when it turned out to be instead our Spice Girl, they thouroughly enjoyed that. 😆

Joseph is not Giorno, he can't grow back what is missing. Maybe Josuke could stitch Kakyoin back somehow, but Joseph is no Josuke, either. I have a bad feeling that - well, you saw how big the World's fist is. Surely some organs were no longer there after that. I have a bad feeling that all that Joseph could do was prolong the time of dying in that case and also make sure it was painless, cuz yeah, Ripple. Though that could be sweet, too, cuz then Kakyoin could say goodbye to mr Joestar, Jotaro, and Polnareff, in person, and thank them for their friendship before dying. And also learn that Dio was defeated. So. ....that'd be.... nice? I think I'm gonna write that short au ficlet someday. Sorry for au offtopic, just, that comment about healing Mista got me thinking about our healers in all the JoJo parts. 😀

(Meanwhile, I and many fans online headcanon that Joseph is the healer of part 3. The Ripple (Hamon) heals, remember? I headcanon that that’s the reason that injured Jotaro was like 'I must immediately go see Old Man & Abdul' & Polnareff wasn't panicking cuz in my headcanon offscreen Polnareff got healed by Joseph, like, a lot. Why didn't Joseph heal Noriaki's eyes, then? That aligns perfectly with my headcanon, too. Joseph can heal stab wounds and cuts of abdomen, arms, etc, that’s easy, when training with Caesar he surely got a lot of practice in that. But eyes? Joseph would be like: OMG, nope, what if I heal my sorta almost grandson (just not blood related grandson, just adopted, cuz Joseph totally mentally adopted Kakyoin & Pol as new grandsons, that’s more than headcanon that’s a fact) eyes wrong & he becomes blind forever?!! So. In short, that'd be on Joseph's conscience so in this case he prefers to just have a smaller risk of Noriaki Kakyoin going blind before Speedwagon doctors can take care of the boy. (Joseph is not Giorno, can't just grow new eyes. It's also my headcano that - well, remember that right after Noriaki Kakyoin flying into water tower Joseph at first desperately tried to get to him with Hermit? It's my headcanon that Joseph would send hamon trough hermit purple to try and heal Kakyoin enough that he won't die till Speedwagon Foundation can get there. Unfortunately, Dio had other plans & didn't let Jojo do that. Btw. Speaking of healers. Hmmm. Who's the best healer, Foo, Giorno, Josuke, Speedwagon doctors, Joseph, Jonathan (can even make flowers bloom!) or Speedwagon (can warm you up with the heat of his enthusiasm if you get a frostbite). If you were going up against Dio or Diavolo or Kira or Pucci, which healer would you choose, Melissa? You can only choose one. 😀 so. Just a poll. 😆

It really does seem like he wants the best for Pesci. The respect for Bruno was great too. Oh that's interesting about the change from the manga! Bruno was amazing here and I hear you about being worried, that was SO scary!!!! I think we've seen enough sparkly soul glitter for a lifetime now! I love that it's your wallpaper too, that's such a great visual!!!! The arrivederci moment was great!!! Yeah it wasn't hard to guess that Trish might have a Stand, but now we know!!! Ohhhhh that wasn't a dinosaur print?! Wow! OMG, I'm scared that Mista gets shot by his own bullets so much! OHHHHHH don't tell me Trish is gonna have a healing Stand?!?!!? Uggghh so true, the flesh bud is nothing compared to the hook! I also thought about Stray Cat's air bubble going up Kira's arm. Ick!!! I can totally see how Bruno has MC energy!! Lol I'm so happy I actually thought of the heart thing with Jotaro, but yeah, you always have my back in the comments too!! Ohhh ok, thanks for clarifying about Babyhead/face! I can't wait to see it! Very true, seeing Bro about to die must have done something to him. Ugghhhh no I definitely do not want the answer to how would Bruno deal with one of his crew dying!!!!!! I know, Bruno was just stopping at nothing here, it was crazy! HAHAHAH they just need to flash a big DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME on these scenes don't they lol. Right, that's so true that Jotaro didn't know what was going on with his Stand either. It seemed to me too like her Stand was being awakened, not that she'd had it all this time.

So true, it was cowardly but also he didn't give up fighting either. OMG Bruno scared us so bad right!! That's true, if Number 6 is ok then Mista will probably be okay! I love that he stayed with Bruno too! I know, the partnership was actually really sweet! OMG same, I thought about that too - like please don't let this be foreshadowing for Bruno just sacrificing himself later on!!!

2023-11-21 16:44:39 +0000 UTCWow. That ended up being a more intense episode than I thought it was going to be. We really saw a change in Persci as it was happening. I think that was a highlight for me. Idk why so much but maybe feeling sympathy towards the bond helped me to understand them like our own crew. Pesci definitely grew. Sure a poop move at the end, but he was going to die. The resolve was still there. I gotta give it up to him. But so glad our team won of course. And what a close call for Bruno!!! A freaking separated heart attack he’s gave me. I thought it was so cute number 6 was with him the whole time. If number 6 is okay and they up and left I hope that means Mistas fine. I was so unsure last episode about that. But that was such a sweet lil duo partnership I didn’t expect. The lengths both groups go to is so impressive and terrifying. What’s more scary is knowing if these two had just as much will power and resolve like Bruno and our team, what does that say about future enemies? Nonono— just happy thought! Only happy thoughts! 😮💨😮💨😮💨

2023-11-21 11:10:42 +0000 UTCSo, I was a little surprised you didn’t do you’re usual “you know what I say when they start off with the theme…” but I was going to say “no, you really need to put your antenna out when they don’t play the theme at all and run the opening credits alongside the show… Bruno isn’t just motivated, as evidenced from his battle with Prosciutto on the side of the train (it’s a “sh” sound in pronouncing it, since you asked), he’s also very clever in the way he fights, turning the hook against his opponent. I think the realization that his Bro was going to die made Pesci snap - as Bruno notes later, it’s like he’s seen ten years of bloodshed all of a sudden. He didn’t care anymore about what, or how he did things. Which makes me wonder… how would Bruno react to losing one of his crew members? It’s something worth asking. I’m not sure I want that answer… 😬 By the way Bruno attacked the line knowing he’d get unzipped to a ridiculous amount and then chopped his heart in half. I kind of inferred this in my last comment, but let’s not use JoJo as a medical reference for teaching doctors. Okay? Okay. Regarding Trish, she’s seeming to be awakening as a Stand user and doesn’t know what’s happening to her. Recall that the same thing happened to Jotaro when we first met him. He didn’t understand what the Stand was or how to use it so we have done explaining to do… next time.

That's not necessarily a bad thing about the show, but it's a fact that most of the minor villains are pretty straightforward in terms of their motivations or interactions. But Prosciutto and Pesci's relationship really stands out. The way I see it, it's kind of like the relationship between Okuyasu and Keicho (one smart and aggressive with a good stance and knows how to use it, the other dumb but with a great stance if used right) if Keicho was more supportive of Okuyasu. Prosciutto really believed in Pesci, and if he was mad at him, it was because he knew he could do better. He always praised him when he did something right, and he stood by his words that he wouldn't release his stand until the end. And even in his final moments, he cheered Pesci on. I also love the little moment where he acknowledges Bucciarati and his abilities. Pesci also has an interesting mini arc of self-confidence. In this episode, the manga material was changed a bit. Pesci actually fooled Bruno into thinking he was going to squash the turtle, and went in to strangle everyone with Beach Boy. But since the end result is the same, the change isn't too bad. This episode once again showed what a genius Bruno is and the skill with which he can use his stand. I was really worried about him when he nearly died. He really does everything he can to complete the mission successfully and protect his crew. His Ari ari ari ari ari ari Arrivederci is such an epic move. I have this still image as the background from my screen. It was definitely predictable that Trish would be a stand user. Her character was also highlighted through a few small scenes. She's a lot more helpful than you'd first assume and also cares about the crew. She also wants to find out more about what's going on. I also interpreted the print as a dinosaur print at first, but if you look at the scene several times, it seems more like a large handprint. I forgot to mention in the last commentary that Mista has already been hit 6 times by his own pistols and the number will soon increase. Kind of ironic. In your reaction you wish for Josuke to heal everyone. Maybe you don't even need to wait for him, just watch the next episode to get a healer ;) Now to today's fanart. 2023-11-20 21:51:03 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) The name of the turtle is Coco Jumbo and his stand Mr President, a reference of course to Coco Jamboo the song by the group Mr President. Grateful Dead is one of the most brutal stands while not being violent. I mean, aging someone to death, without causing them significant physical harm, is indeed a sweet and grateful death. Beach Boy's hook going up Mista's arm almost makes Dio's "flesh bud" going up Jotaro's arm seem like a joke. I mean, at least even if the flesh bud tried to get to Jotaro's brain, he wasn't aware of his surroundings like Pesci and Beach Boy. I told you that for me Bruno was the real MC of this part, you have a preview here. Bruno removing his heart is a move reminiscent of Jotaro stopping his own heart as you said, but if you hadn't thought about it, we probably would have mentioned it in the comments lol. For the next episodes, you will finally understand the allusion of the visual novel when you arrive at the end, with the cars gone and the frogs in the corridor. Keep that in the back of your mind. Babyhead stands for Babyface if I remember correctly, that's the name of Melone's stand and you'll see for yourself, but it's still a... bizarre stand. A stand about dinosaurs would be both cool and terrifying, don't you think ? But even more terrifying is to imagine who could have this kind of stand. I can't say too much, whether a stand like this exists or not, but believe me, it's hard to hold back hehe.
