How about the music in the movie intro though?? Goosebumps every time! John Williams is a genius but Ken Thorne nailed that one. So good in fact that it was reused for the Superman Returns (2006) trailer which got people HYPED along with the Marlon Brando monologue: “They can be a great people Kal-El; they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you… my only son.”

So, now that you saw part 2 I’d like it if you ignore the haters and naysayers about part 3! Please watch it, but can stop there 🛑 ✋ Richard Pryor may be just too damn FUNNY for the hardcore Superman fans... and the idea he has a natural affinity for computers is completely ridiculous! Average 80s ppl didn’t really understand computers yet. Like Muppet Babies, they think you can program computers to DO ANYTHING! “magic machines.” There is almost Bizarro Superman (my favorite Superman) in part 3! But that’s all I’ll say. Oh, and in the end- there’s a scene with the super computer THAT SCARED ME AS A CHILD!!! so you must see it 😿😿😿

I always took the "S net" he threw and the projections as Kryptonian tech as he only whipped it out in the fortress and not the initial battle. Of course that was before I knew about the Director fiasco.

OMG!!! My face hurts from smiling watching you watch this movie. This was such a joy. I haven't watched S2 in years. And watching it with someone whose never seen it was so much fun. Yes Christopher Reeve will, forever, be Superman. His abilities, super strength, invulnerability, heat/x-ray/telescopic vision, freeze breath and super speed are all canon for Kryptonians under a yellow sun. The throwing of the 'S' in the fortress was added later after a change of Directors shake up. This also included the addition of the 'Hypno-Kiss" and the projections of Superman. A lot of fans were left shaking their heads back then as well. Your face when Clark CRUSHES Zods hand was Gold. Yeah, I'm really glad you watched this.
