Nomad of Nowhere 1x08 "End of the Line" - reaction & review
Added 2022-02-01 12:01:42 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I am back today with the start of Nomad of Nowhere! YES, we finally get a sort-of teamup between Skout and the Nomad! Granted, Skout's plan doesn't really benefit the Nomad in any way lol, so you can't exactly call it a win win...but seeing them fight back to back was pretty sweet! We also have a champion up in the mix now, and I'm definitely feeling the heavier/scarier vibes. Also, Nearsighted Bandits?! Whatever did we do to deserve little comedy bits like this?! SO good! Can't wait to see where this is all going!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Yes!!!! Love the disguise haha and such a fun comic bit with the older woman not wanting to hear the exposition dump about Skout's past! Yes it really doesn't work out quite well for the Nomad does it haha. The Nearsighted Bandits cracked me up! The Nomad is def learning how to better use his powers. LOL I know, the interpretation of hostage was everything. Yeah they do a good job of highlighting the low level of education/intelligence, often through humor but it's still kinda sad and messed up! The champion is no joke for sure!! Ugh I can't believe our two most lovable characters are up against him! Awwww that line about Toth though!!! I'm so happy you enjoyed it, thanks for all your awesomeness and support!!!!!!!!!!

I love Nomad’s “disguise” and his attempt to keep himself more hidden with the wanted posters. The old woman not wanting to hear Skout’s life story is a fun subversion since its in other fiction someone sitting next to a character and asking questions is an invitation for a monologue. It’s depressing that Skout is right that as long as he has magic Nomad’s problem of being hunted won’t go away. Her plan is ridiculous and Nomad’s expressions really sells how much he doesn’t like the plan and how crazy it sounds. Although Skout wanting some redemption this way makes sense especially with how much she still cares about Toth. All the comedy with the nearsighted bandits is hilarious and the best kind of ridiculous. It is nice to see the Nomad using his powers more strategically. Also him thinking hostage means some kind of friendship/holding hands is amazing. I like how this show does a good job of showing that a lot of the people in this world are uneducated/poor. I like Skout using her intelligence when she refracts sunlight through something to blind the last bandit. These 2 have really great teamwork. Unfortunately this is when the champion shows up and he is no joke. He’s scary and at 1st I thought he was scarier because I thought he was going to be strong enough to stop the train in its tracks thankfully he’s not that strong but still strong enough to rip steel beams off the tracks so still really strong and if that wasn’t bad enough his compass seems to track magic. Also he is such a cold ruthless badass standing still and not reacting to the train crashing all around him and not caring about collateral damage although thankfully it looks like the other passengers are okay. So now 2 great and lovable characters are in danger it will be interesting for you to see where the show goes. One thing I forgot was the line about Toth trying to fill the hole in her heart makes me both sad and happy because I ship Skout and Toth. Great reaction and I can’t wait for your reaction to the next episode. Keep up the great work. :-) <3
