Hey everyone! Here I am with episode 2 of Hawkeye, yay!! There was so much greatness about this episode!!!! More of the amazing pizza dog, Clint LARPing in the most epic way possible, the plot thickens with Mr. Wonderful aka Jack, Kate gets to stay in a house with luxurious and glamourous clothes, etc.!!!! I'm really liking the characters and relationships they're building here, and super curious to know where all this is going. Although if I had to put money down right now, I'd say Jack is super suspicious and probably has some involvement!!!! Oh yeah, and let's not forget that Kate and Clint still have to find their way out of these abandoned-playland-full-of-gangsters situation, soooo....!!!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

HAHAHAHAHAHA I mean, he had pizza........!!!!!!! OMG if they present exposition when there's a dog present, that's on them....I mean, c'mon, that should be screenwriting 101 right?!?!! :P LOL I could totally see the Tracksuit Mafia being a parody of some previous concepts from Marvel!!! That's a great way of explaining it actually, I'm sure Clint is really not used to this kind of attention or admiration sadly lol. But he's also really lowkey, so I feel like he's not looking for that. Ahhhh I actually did just rewatch the ep, and noticed her saying the sword line a bit more, making it now TWO things that connect Jack to the murder, as opposed to just the butterscotch. Good call! Hahahahaha love how you connected the LARPing with the Witcher!!!! I'd heard there was a new season coming out!!! Not sure if I'll be picking it up right away in my schedule but I do hope to react to it soon!!! Oooh, the movie sounds interesting!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info!

Omg I know, once they explained it I was like, dang, it's a wonder more of them aren't partially deaf actually!!!!! :O You've gotta respect folks like Hawkeye who are basically just run-of-the-mill folks but highly highly trained - but no augmentations of any kind - and they're just out there in the middle of these outlandish battles with aliens and such!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O

2021-12-05 15:10:29 +0000 UTC“I would let anyone in if they told me they had pizza.” - Melissa The next day: Thanos shows up in a Domino’s uniform. Dear Marvel, please do not present any important exposition in scenes where a dog is on screen, as Melissa is too dog-gone obsessed already to pay attention. 😁 The “tracksuit mafia” is pretty funny, kinda feels like Marvel just went out and ordered the most stereotypical “Russian mafia bad guys” you could find. Seems like a bit of Marvel parodying some if its previous plot threads now that I think about it. Kinda feels like Kate’s playing the part of an Avengers groupie but Hawkeye’s never had one so he really doesn’t know how to function with her. Kate does mention Armand was killed by a sword, although the show didn’t do a great job of showing that when she found him, so I guess it is inferred the butterscotch is far more than coincidence. The LARP scene was pretty funny but it does remind me to tell you The Witcher Season 2 is dropping on December 17. (See what I did there?) There is also a Netflix animated movie, “Nightmare of the Wolf,” which came out in August you might be interested in checking out prior to the season.

The fact that she and Clint both claim that title is something of a running joke in the comics this is based on, so it's fun to see that coming in already, even when Kate here has a lot more respect for Clint than the comics version does. Most of the issues in that comic series start with a little blurb that says something like "This is Clint Barton, he's the world's greatest archer, this is what he does when he's not being an avenger" while for the Kate-centric chapters it'll instead be like "This is Kate Bishop, She's the world's greatest archer (Suck it, Clint), she's also pretty much an avenger" it's plenty of fun to notice the similarities and differences in their dynamics there and here. Also cool to see Clint being partially deaf coming up, and with a hilarious explanation for why it happened. To be fair, being just an ordinary guy without any super soldier serum or high tech armor or anything to keep him safe, it's pretty understandable that all those explosions and crazy fights would start taking their toll.
