Pate Empire is a massive space opera...revolving around Lira(my bad ass warrior girl) and Lane Zontaka(another of my bad ass warrior girls) both of their worlds wanted an Empire...Really, King Zontaka...Lane's pop...wanted it more than his daughter Lane...she followed along because she loved her dad a lot. Pate won out....and took over Zontay...Zontay is strong, though, and its hard as hell for Pate to hold on to it. With the Pate civil war arc about to start...Zontay may get another opportunity. This book ties in closely with both Tales of Lugnor, and Sleeker series. Tales of Lugnor and Pate Empire are met to be read together. They tie in with each other a lot. Tales of Lugnor is a book like Sleeker...a lot of characters in their own stories...one story....Lugnor Royal family...is the other side of the Pate/Lugnor conflict...Queen Teresia and her sister Tandy dealing with problems in their sector...while in Pate Empire...Lira is dealing with problems in hers....(I love big, epic stories)I didn't get into it yet, but Sleeker and Lira are related. Lira is Sleeker's aunt. Tales of Lugnor has another bitter rival of Lira's...Queen Teresia Kavorik of Lugnor. Queen Kavorik and Lira fought a bitter three year war...when Lira tried to conquer her. Kavorik, in turn, secretly funds Zontay's efforts to fight The Pate Empire. In the Pate civil war arc...Kavorik steps up her game...well I cant tell EVERYTHING!!!! gotta give the reader a reason to follow the books! On my personal website...Pate Empire is my most read series. every time I check stats...this comic rules. amazing how on different places I post different stories are more popular. There are even folks who use this series to role play. which is so cool. At least SOME folks like this stuff.
