Hi theres! I've been back to coding (and making a pair of missing animations) after my short hiatus to put things on places. Things were indeed put in places.
For sure September to December are the most complicated months for a single father single-handly doings loads of stuff, but well, while every year is the same and is not surprising, it is always frustating not having time to reach everywhere.
Really looking forward to late spring-summer again, when I can just administer my time much better.
In other line of thought, I think my next BFL paychecks will be fully invested in a good PSU (weather in spain has been terrible these months and power surges are unforgiving with work),
and also a big investment on going from HDDs to SDD and other high capacity but faster storage so I can more quickly create misisng renders when a scene requieres it (software take ages to load), but having in consideration I have more than 7 TB of files of BFL and other graphic work, as they're not precisely cheap.
Not news, but the full freeroam nature of 0.25 make coding its scenes tedious and extremely slow, And at the same time I guess I'm quite excited to also finally get to next update soon enough. All linear scenes were coded already in November, but there is a mess in all the tidbits, taking in consideration the advanced stage of all progress in Leffrin side content, that means making a tight sharp code around the different stages of 4 characters (and their own divergent paths) behind the curtain everytime we're entering or leaving a scene, with loads of exponential variant dialgoue and variable checking inside them.
While in retrospect the content added with 0.25 will add a lot to the fun search and find side-content-fun-stuff aspect of the whole game, (which is one of the cornerstone foundations of BFL) I'll be very glad when I close this folder xD
Some of the next updates of the year are not much more easier (like, post-grassmere pre-chapter 3), but at least feature many more main story driven scenes which are more rewarding coding-wise.
There is at least 3 big releases to be done this year after 0.25 so, let's continue with the writing, coding, freeroaming, rendering, and animating!
