The sleep conversation is hitting home today! I couldn't sleep last night and my husband was getting so mad at my tossing and turning. I offered to go sleep on the couch but he said no. I should have just done it...was so anxious about keeping him up, that it made my insomnia even worse.

2024-05-21 13:12:15 +0000 UTCWe start off in the same bedroom, but we have little ones so there is a lot of musical beds during the night. King size bed is a must have.

2024-05-15 21:08:29 +0000 UTCBest Decision!! Married long time . My husband was a surgical resident when first married . 30 years later he is still on call every 3-4 nights and weekends. Gets calls on his patients anytime day or night . I was an OR RN for years , so I get it. When we finally could afford - we bought a king size for each of us ! Our daughter often climbed in with me- when scared . Worked out perfectly

2024-05-15 17:09:10 +0000 UTCMy husband & I sleep in separate rooms- he snores so loud & flops around all night. Instead of kicking him out of bed every night to disrupt both of our sleeps, we decided to have separate rooms- I get sleep now.

2024-05-15 15:28:14 +0000 UTCListening now and wanted to chime in on the nuts or not. I sleep divorced my husband over a year ago and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made lol. In all seriousness, it happened organically between the 2 of us. We have been married for 24 years and his snoring has gotten so much worse as he’s gotten older. I am a light sleeper and in my mid- 40s, perimenopausal and my sleep has gotten worse as I’ve gotten older- ya mama needs her sleep. Plus- he gets up at 5:30am to go to gym and I don’t wake up till 6:30am- when he was getting up earlier than me, he would wake me at 5:30am and I couldn’t go back to sleep- I need that hour. We still “make out” 😉 2-3 times a week, go out on date nights at least once a week and vacation alone together- and really enjoy time together still, just not sleeping together/ Although when we now vacation alone and have to sleep in bed together all night because of only 1 bed-ugh 🤪The real issue with being able to be intimate in our house is our 2 teenagers who are up till all hours of the night and in and out their bedroom nonstop lol
