Buckingham was a Greens member until he resigned from the party in 2018. He returned to parliament at the 2023 election as a member of the Legalise Cannabis Party.

I for one think Jeremy should be a repeat guest, if not a common guest every now and then. I think he brings a level headed viewpoint to this podcast and offers a lot of inside knowledge of a lot of the parties within Canberra. He has an open mind, sees it for how it is, and says it how it is. This was surprisingly one of the most enjoyable pods for me, mainly due to the humour Jeremy bought in with him and the level of relaxed chat about serious issues hes dealt with himself in parliament. You boys should definitely olive branch the idea of having him on every now and then. It’s awesome hearing his insights, also the fact he sounds like a big lez show character is so good on the ears haha.
